May 4 2020 Governor's update regarding easing of restrictions

Governor Northam announced today that the restrictions which we have been under since March 30 are expected to ease May 15 2020.  The details behind the easing have yet to be announced but we anticipate more information within a couple of days.

For right now, we will accept reservations for short-term stays arriving May 15 or later.  Prior to that date the current order still holds of no reservations less than 14 nights are permitted.  We are willing to accept reservations at this time only for sites with sewer connections until we know how we are permitted to reopen and operate our bathroom facilities.  For all campsites without sewer (water and electric and tent) we will determine the ability to open those when we see the Virginia Department of Health guidelines on bathroom facilities operations.

Currently our recreational facilities remain closed until further information allows us to understand how to safely reopen these – for now playgrounds, sports facilities and swimming pools  remain closed.  Physical distancing of 6’ or more is still required and no gathering of more than 10 persons is permitted.  Because of this, there are currently no scheduled activities planned (such as bingo, hayrides and music by the front pool) until restrictions further ease.

For us to continue to operate, we need everyone camping with us to observe the guidelines of Virginia Department of Health – physical separation of 6’ between guests that are not normally in close contact with each other and no gatherings of more than 10 even considering the 6’ distancing.

We’ll work to update here as we receive more information.
